We are new to ACPS this year with a rising 1st grader. They will be at Lyles Crouch. I have heard the buses are overflowing in the middle and high schools. Is this also the case at L-C? |
Is there a PTA FB page, you will probably get a better answer there. With that, our - not LC elementary - bus is not overcrowded as the ESs tend to have far more walkers than the one city HS and massive GWMS as the ESs are generally in the neighborhood and close. Our ES bus driver is a gem of a person. |
We were at a different elementary, but didn’t have bus issues until middle school. I imagine LCTA has a lot of walkers too. |
Thank you! |
We were walkers at LCTA but the busses did not look overflowing. I believe there were 4 and there really didn't look like that many kids on them. |
NP but were you happy with lyles crouch? |
NP. Two kids at Lyles-Crouch including a 5th-grader who went all the way through. We've been happy there but not happy with ACPS overall due to the poor management during the pandemic. Just fyi, ACPS is in the process of getting a new superintendent, and Lyles-Crouch will get a new principal in 2023-2024. Going back to the buses, the bus from school to the rec center was crowded last year, in case your child will be on that one. |
Thanks PP! Our kid will not be on the bus to the rec center but that's good to know. Very sad to hear Dr Z will be leaving. I've heard she is one reason the school is so great! |
. Meh. Last year was not great. It's like the teachers didn't revert to their pre-pandemic lesson plans and everything was on the chromebook. I saw no tests or papers or anything all year. We're leaving the school district. I can't do GW for alot of reasons. |
I don't blame you PP. GW is a mess. |
