Passport Renewal ETA?

| Has anyone renewed a passport recently? How long is it taking? I know it’s possible to expedite but am just curious as to whether it’s as delayed as it was last year. |

| We paid for expedited. Appt was June 3 and we got the passports last week. |

| We took my child's passport to a post office on 5/26, the passport status website said it was received on 5/31. We paid for expedited service which said it would take 5 to 7 weeks. We got it in the mail on 6/30. |

Nearly identical experience to above. We took kids on June 6. They arrived on July 1. We live in DC and used the post office in Tenleytown. I think it’s technically called the Friendship Station or something. We did not expedite or anything since our trip is in December.

| Can I ask how long it took people to get their supporting documents back? Received passport third week of May and still waiting for the supporting docs to come back. |

| My parents sent theirs in on June 6 and they arrived back,last week. The supporting documents came a couple of days later. No expedited request. |

Son home from college renewed 2nd week of March. Received passport and supporting documents back before he returned home for the summer on April 30 - I think maybe even by the end of March.

We did expedited in mid June. Still waiting. We were told the wait wasn't that long right now. Not sure what that really means though |

| Not the OP, but just wanted to share for anyone waiting for their passport or thinking of renewing that we just received my son's passport today (7/22). The passport office received it on 6/29 and we did expedited. Our appointment at the post office was on 6/25. |

| I may have been the op of this thread, can’t remember. We paid for expedited, turner it in at the dc milk library passport acceptance office and got ours back two days ago. Super relieved as we already had booked our tickets. The people at the office were really nice. Bring your checkbook! You can get photos taken there too. |

| Renewed a couple months back. Did not expedite. Got mine back in 4 weeks or so. Supporting documents came back very late after a good 10+ weeks |
