I need to find a decent and affordable conditioner that actually works to keep my hair looking shiny and non-frizzy. Anyone care to recommend any daily conditioner that you can get at the drugstore, grocery store or Target? FWIW, I am in my early 40s, have long, wavy to curly, lowlighted hair.
Thanks. |
| I've recommended this before on this forum, but the new Aveeno shampoo and conditioner have been great. I am former salon hair product junkie but I've been really pleased with these. I've been using the Shine version and the conditioner doesn't leave any residue. |
| There is a new Frizz Ease one that I think is really great. it is in a tube. Bought it at Target. Smooths out my hair without weighing it down. |

Nature's Gate, sold at Whole Foods. Leaves my hair very soft & shiny.
I also like L'Oreal deep conditioner, sold in a tub at CVS. I forget the name but it's worth the ~$7 or so it costs. I use it 1x/week. |
| I love the new L'Oreal Shine products (orange bottle) for color treated hair. I like the Garnier hair products too and I can and have spent money on Kerastase, etc. |
| I 2nd the nomination for Aveeno shampoo/ conditioner. I used to be a slave to the salon brands, but I love the Aveeno line now. I have shoulder length hair that is naturally curly, and I color treat it. I use the Aveeno Nourish+Moisturize. I let my hair air dry (after putting Bumble & Bumble leave in conditioner) after and it makes my hair shiny and not frizzy and my curls are well-defined. |
| I have very wavy hair that I straighten almost every day. I've used expensive products but right now my favorite products are the Garnier conditioners that are actually deep conditioners. They, I believe, are meant to be used once a week...but I use them every other day or so (when I wash my hair) and my hair is much softer and shinier than I remember it being with other products. |

OP here. Thanks for all the great responses. I picked up some the Aveeno Nourish and Shine and have to say WOW--really great conditioner. Shine is back and less frizz. I will probably get the shampoo too when my current bottle is empty.
Thanks again for the great suggestions! |
