Basketball leagues in the fall?

Anonymous
My son is looking to play basketball this fall in preparation for his local league this winter. Does anyone have any recommendations? He is a good player but not “all-star”; per say. Would like to keep his skill levels up while enjoying game play. TIA!

Some of the AAU teams host weekly clinics but I couldn't tell you which ones. I don't think they have games--just work on the fundamentals.

I’m confused - what do you mean by this? Try what? Asking the question??

Find an AAU program that keeps the kids active all year around.

By this I mean, they have clinics for non AAU players.

Thanks. He could probably benefit from a clinic, but wants to play games as well.

How old is he? When mine was younger, he played at the Fairfax County rec centers in the off season through the Parktakes classes.

To add to my above post, there is also i9 if he is young enough. We haven’t tried basketball through them but they won’t be competitive like AAU.

Sorry - guess I left that out. He’s 11, going into 6th grade.
