Lower calorie soft serve or fro yo.

Can anyone suggest a place to go that sells low calorie soft serve, ice cream or fro yo? There used to be a place in Bethesda or Rockville that had this great low cal ice cream. Maybe Whey Lo. I’m looking for something similar.

Not an ice cream store, but Yasso bars from the supermarket are awesome! 100 calories and delicious.

Most soft serve is significantly low(er) calorie than hand dipped ice cream. Not to say it is a health food- it is mostly artificial stuff and hydrogenated oils

Not fancy and made with mystery ingredient, but their
Ice cream cones are 200 calories and taste pretty good in a pinch

It's true. I feel like the early 2000s you had TCBY and then all sorts of other places selling all sorts of other super low cal billed soft serve. Pinkberry and a bunch of others.

What I desperately miss is the soft-serve plain/tart frozen yogurt from SweetGreen. I’m still angry at them for removing all those machines. I think I alone gave them enough of a customer base to keep it going.

LA still has amazing frozen yogurt places. For some reason they don’t exist in DC.

Tas-T-Delite but you have to go to Philly or nyc

Just buy a pint of premium brand of ice cream, and have a small scoop. You'll be more satisfied because premium ice cream has more fat. It also has slightly less sugar than FroYo or soft serve. And the calorie differential is negligible. 140 cals vs 110 cals.

Or go to Wendy's and get a junior frosty. 200 calories. They currently have a limited time Strawberry flavor.
