Anyone here with ties to Stevens Forrest ES

Anyone here have/had kids at this school? Curious to know more about a Principal from there named Ron Morris. How was he as a Principal?

Ron Morris has been a director (supervising principals) for many years. I think he was at Stevens Forest in the late 2000s/early 2010s. Anyone with kids there at that time would have kids who’ve graduated high school and college by now.

His reputation is very good and I have never heard one person who worked with him in any of his roles say anything but wonderful things. I have friends who worked under him as a principal and he was beloved at that time.

i know that this post is a few years old, and i am not the intended demographic for this question, but i wanted to chime in anyway as someone who went to sfes from 2008–2014. (i’m 23, for reference.) mr. morris was an absolutely fantastic principal—i have a memory of being in kindergarten one day, and he dropped by for a bit to join in on whatever random kindergarten activity the class was doing at that time. he was a very enthusiastic, charismatic guy who knew how to work a crowd and keep kids engaged (which can be very difficult, but he never seemed to have an issue from what i can remember); the pep rallies he put on over the years were always a blast and he made sure everyone had a good time. if there was a school fundraiser event at a local restaurant, of which there were quite a few, there was a good chance he would also be there. he stepped down from being the principal around 2012–13, i think? the succeeding principal was alright, but no one could hold a candle to mr. morris. anyway, he was fun, he definitely made a positive impact on my elementary school experience. i hope he’s doing well.
