Typing on my phone while at breakfast please excuse typos
Panera has a new unlimited sip club for 11.99 a month. It includes unlimited speciality teas sodas coffee iced coffee etc. i am a calorie counter so I just get plain iced tea and it’s pretty good tea. Someone was asking a few days ago for unexpensive fast casual options. Panera is pricey for lunch and dinner but pretty cheap for breakfast. With the sip club (adding in 40 cents a day for my drink) I’ve gotten breakfast down to about $4.00 In the app you can customize sandwiches and choose a bread, bagel toppings etc and there are many more choices then there are on the board. I get an everything bagel with egg, cheese, extra tomatoes (they give 4 slices) and extra spinach (they put about 1/2 a cup on the sandwich when you ask for extra.) 4.00 for a bagel with a protein, two servings of veggies plus a drink is pretty cheap and it’s filling enough I just eat a power bar for lunch. Starting the day with 500 calories makes me a lot less hungry later in the day. Panera also has gift card promos a lot- recently gift cards were 20 percent off, I bought enough to pay for my breakfast until September. So that makes my 4.00 breakfast 3.20 which is the price of the drink at most places. I pass a Panera on the way home too so I fill up my tea again for free on the way home. Just sharing for anyone else who hates to cook , wants something reasonably fast somewhat healthy and not too pricey. |
