Is the “gilead” rhetoric just fear mongering?

Is it likely that the US will actually move to further restrict “secular” things such as birth control? I am pro choice but I also don’t want to completely fall into the hysterical crowd that is insisting we will be living in Gilead inside 5 years.

No...it is the reality of the Evangelicals. Why they couldn't just live it among themselves rather than imposing it on the rest of us is beyond me.
