I miss good halva. I’ve bought decent quality halva in stores in and around DC, but can’t say it has ever matched what I remember from my childhood. If you like halva please recommend place to get it from, online or in DC area. Thanks

I only know places in MD. Go to an Eastern European (European Delight or Russian Gourmet) or Persian grocery (Yekta).

I thought the same until my mother popped my bubble by telling me we usually just had joya halva around the house!
