| Is this a free road to use? I've never driven it before but it seems like it'll be faster than Route 7. |
| No, it's not free. You can calculate the tolls here -https://www.dullesgreenway.com/toll-calculator/ . |
| No. It's very expensive- minimum $6.75 per use. Might be worth it if you're going a lot of miles but otherwise just get off at Sully road (28) to avoid the expense. |
| It's one of the fastest highways around. Worth the cost, IMO |
Sadly even the Greenway can have traffic... there's often a big bottleneck at the end of it (where it merges into the Leesburg bypass) during afternoon peak hours. |
An just think, you’re paying a premium price for this bottleneck. |
| And it's privately owned, right? Investors get the proceeds? |
| Love it. Most of the time there is low traffic. |

Where you getting that $. I routinely use it from Tysons to Herndon and only pay $1.50 each way. |
You are not driving on the Greenway if you are driving between Tysons and Herndon. |
You're using the Dulles Toll Rd, a different highway. The Greenway begins past Rt 28 and extends to Leesburg. https://www.dullestollroad.com/ |
| Very fast, but very expensive. It’s a private road, and you have to pay to use it. |
That is the Dulles Toll Road. We are discussing the Dulles Greenway - completely separate. Read the link above and become enlightened! |
