Anyone’s riding junior taking the SAT in the fall?

Plenty of kids take it fall of junior year. Mine is taking August. It is nice to be able to prep in summer and then hopefully get it out of the way.
Those taking algebra 2 junior year should wait until spring of junior year to take the SAT. |

| Mine took ACT for first time in July and SAT in Aug the summer before Junior year (no prep). Then chose ACT to take in Sept and Feb during JR year and was done. |

| My DD is taking ACT in September. None of her close friends are but there are definitely lots of other rising juniors at the test prep places. |

| DD is taking the SAT in August. She’s doing prep this summer. Hopefully she’ll do well and get it out of the way. She took algebra 2 last year. |

| My DS is taking it in August too. He had Precalculus as a sophomore. |

| One of mine took it in August with the 2nd in June of junior year. Older kid took it in December of junior year, would have taken it again in June if not for covid. It's good to get all testing done in junior year if you can. |

| Mine was one and done in December. He really liked not having to prep for it and AP exams at the same time. |

| Yes, very common to prep over summer and take Aug right before junior year. Worked out well for my DS |

| What? I had no idea this was a thing. I thought they were all taking the PSAT in fall. Are you all doing the both PSAT and SAT around the same time? Or skipping PSAT? |
