Gait Women's Sticks

Anyone else seeing issues with the girls Gait sticks? Multiple girls on our club having issues with the strings breaking. AND the strings aren't under warranty. Anyone else seeing an issue? Or are our girls just incredibly unlucky?

The strings definitely get worn and fray. Also don’t play as well in the rain/wet, it seems.

These are almost brand new sticks...shouldn't be happening with a stick pushing $300 and no warranty...

The top string on any stick will break. Its caused by fraying due to friction and it’s an easy fix.

You can buy the string at your local shop (it’s so short they may even give it to you free) and there are tons of tutorials.

Again, this is not a Gait specific issue. This is a playing lacrosse on turf and practicing a lot of ground balls issue.

If the mesh frays from the friction too, you can buy replacement mesh and also string it yourself (see YouTube) or have it strung at your local shop.

Top string isn't the problem. It's the "flex mesh" ripping right in the middle of the stick. This is happening to multiple girls with almost brand new sticks. On a side note, my DD's gait goggles just broke too. Welding came apart smh.

When did you get the stick? My DD bought one in the fall and played college lacrosse with it all year. No problems yet. Maybe it’s a manufacturing error that happened with a specific run of sticks?

May also be the type of pocket? My DD uses the mesh draw pocket and has played with it for 2 years now. No problems. The flex mesh pocket may not be as good?
