I'm talking huge menu, lots of homey food, big portions (doggy bag), daily specials, good cooking, excellent grilled cheese sandwich. Points for Montgomery County.

In Arlington, Metro 29.
In MoCo, Parkway Deli. |
I love Parkway Deli but it's a Jewish deli, not a Greek diner.
Read the description OP is seeking. Yes, Parkway is not a Greek deli, but it fits exactly what OP is looking for. Have a super day. |
Nautilus, although that is in Crofton
I’m from the Midwest and I understand what you are talking about when you say Greek diner. The short answer is that there isn’t anything like those places here. (Aside, my dad used to say that all of the Greek diners in the area just had one kitchen in the center of the earth where all the food came from)
The Amphora had two locations in NOVA but apparently the Vienna one is closed 😳 I loved that place. The Herndon one is still open apparently
I miss the Greek diners in the Midwest! There is Anthony’s in Falls Church that might scratch that itch. People around here seem to love it but I have never liked any of the food I have ordered there.
Also, needs to display pies and cakes. |
The Broadway Diner in Baltimore is what you’re looking for. It’s right off of 95 at Eastern Ave.
Have you tried Old Georgetown Grille in Bethesda?
Nick’s in Wheaton - corner of Viers Mill and 193.
Spartan’s in Burke, though that may be too far for you. https://www.ilovespartans.com/
Metro 29 In arlington. Overpriced though.
Not a diner, but zorba and/or Greek deli in DC might be good... delicious food and big portions
