Yes, I’ve been on the MVA website and i don’t think so but it’s isn’t totally clear. Anyone?

Yes, there's a link to schedule appointment for first time driver/id services:

Oops, that link might not work. But go to MVA, schedule an appointment, then first time driver/id services. There's a ton of paperwork for them to go through (and for you to bring), so it makes sense that you'd need an appointment for that.

Thanks - you’re sweet to even post the link. This is why I was confused:
To obtain a learner's permit, please visit any of the MVA's full-service offices. Your permit will be mailed to you. Your driving skills test for a provisional license must be scheduled in advance. Go to here to schedule an appointment. It’s not clear but makes it seem you don’t need an appointment. And then for a while you needed an appointment for everything during Covid. |
yes - make an appt. We had to schedule a few weeks out.
For sure make an appointment - when we took DS, you text when you get to front door, and they called his number literally as we walked it. Lots of paperwork so you sit a bit while the kid goes through it all, but otherwise really smooth.
