Crest and Oral B Recycling Program, Any Others?

Anonymous
Jus foun out today that Crest and Oral B will take back used toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes, floss picks, floss containers and other oral care related products for recycling. You can fill out form to get a shipping label here: https://oralb.com/en-us/recycling/

I would love to know of other companies who do this. Like prescription bottles, someone should take them back and recycle or reuse them. Same for contact lens cases that.seem to now come in all the contact cleaning solution packages. Anyon do anything with those?

I didn’t know this! Thanks for the tip.

Beauty companies used to do this - MAC and The Body Shop but I don’t know if they still do, or what they did with the empties.

I would think it would be treated like medical waste since they have “body fluids” on them.

OP- I just read about a prescription bottle recycling program. Hmmm…just woke up and a bit groggy but I’ll come back and post a link.

Also, I’m boxing up mismatched socks and sending to a US textile and sock manufacturer to be recycled.

OP here. Could you share this info too? Will they take socks with holes?

It’s Matthew:25 Ministries

Check out the guidelines for donating to make sure you’re providing the organization with something they can use.

When you’re ready to ship your bottle(s) off, address your package to:
Matthew 25: Ministries
11060 Kenwood Road
Cincinnati, OH 45242

That’s it! You just made a difference and kept plastic out of our landfills.

PP back again with sock recycling info:

https://zkano.com/pages/zkano-recycles

They implore you to only include socks! They are a sock manufacturer and yes, will take socks with holes.

I’m going to use one of those easy USPS prepaid boxes.

Crazy but true fact: I have over a pound of mismatched socks to donate.

Thank you for this! I’ve been saving socks for years because I hate waste and was always like… maybe I will make a rag rug or something but this much better.
