Everything Everywhere All At Once — ok for young teen?

I’ve heard this movie is good but I see it’s rated R. Would it be ok for a 13-year-old? What exactly is the reason for the R rating?

No. There is a short super graphic butt gag. It’s not a huge part of the movie, but it’s something they shouldn’t see. The rest would be okish. But I’d not take anyone that young.

Some spoilers:

This above and the other “sword” scene like the other poster mentioned. In the scene the above poster mentions, the actual body parts are blurred, but it’s definitely still graphic. Can’t explain without super detail. It’s a freaking hilarious scene.

Plus there is another very brief scene with gag and impact play.

For me, it’s just not the first exposure to kink, dildos, and butt stuff I’d want my youngster to have. Or, be prepared for some conversations you may not have been prepared for.

My 16 watched and that was fine to me, but its a hard pass for my 12 / 13 year old.

It’s a STELLAR movie; I loved it. I will definitely show it to my younger one when they are a bit older.

It gets boring OP. I was REALLY looking forward to seeing it based on the trailer and the cast, but how many false endings with people gazing off into the distance, having realizations, does one movie really need? It had more false ending than the Lord of the Rings.
