I like something super gritty and intense for extreme exfoliation. Thanks!
|
| I used to use the apricot scrub but then they said walnut shells where terrible for your skin! I've given up on finding a scrub. |
| This isn’t what you asked but it is super easy to make your own. If you like really gritty try mixing raw sugar with an oil (olive oil works fine) and there you go. I put mine in an plastic container from scrub I had bought at the drugstore. |

Be careful because many of these scrubs are also bad for the environment. The actually plastic microbeads don’t get filtered out and then end up in the ocean and consumed by wildlife. I like PP’s suggestion, and you could even add a few drops of lavender or chamomile EO. |
| My college aged DD loves the Tree Hut scrubs at Ulta. |
This is what I do -- mix raw sugar with coconut oil. Be careful in the shower, gets slippery! |
| I am NOT a diy kind of person, but ny favorite scrub is sugar and coconut oil. |

Trader Joe's has a good lavender salt scrub that's cheap.
I agree with making your own though. You can make it as gritty as you want. |
Was coming here to say the same thing. Watch it though — shower floor will be super slippery! If you don’t like coconut oil, you can sub olive oil which I think is more moisturizing. |
Similarly, I mix turbinado sugar with either bath oil or body wash. |
| Dr. Teal's is pretty good, you can get it at Target. |
| Get a salux cloth. Better than any body scrub. |
| Trader Joe’s sea salt and lavender or Dove macadamia rice polish |
Target sells these too—my DDs love them. |
That’s old information—microbeads have been banned for a while now. https://www.fda.gov/cosmetics/cosmetics-laws-regulations/microbead-free-waters-act-faqs |
