Did you know that summer school graduates are allowed to WALK in the real graduation? I am not too happy about that, and of course APS will do that but it doesn't seem right. |
I'll take, "Things no one except this OP gives a sh*t about for $500, Alex" |
You mean kids who need to take 1-2 more classes over the summer to finish? What's the big deal with letting them walk? That's how it worked at my high school, college and grad school. |
What is the problem with this and how does it affect you? |
+1 OP what an odd thing to be worked up about! |
Seriously, OP, you need to chill out. What do you think is more likely to get those kids to graduate -- allowing them to walk with the classmates they've been with forever, or treating them as outcasts? If they don't actually finish up in the summer and don't qualify for the diploma, guess what? The walking didn't matter. |
It's an especially odd complaint after all the pandemic disruptions. |
It’s been allowed for many decades. So it’s nothing new. |
That's pretty standard in most public high schools. |
its my first APS grad I attended, it not like that in most schools |
I walked in graduation for my Ph.D. then finished the dissertation over the summer. Sorry to offend you. |
Why do you care so much? What's the real problem? |
Why do you care, OP? Do you think it somehow dilutes your kid's achievement? News flash: it doesn't. |
OP, do you have nothing better to do than keep track of other kids? Maybe a giant asterisk on their mortarboard and in the program so everyone knows?
What’s your angle, here? |
No issue for me. They should not have to come back a year later to enjoy a graduation. |
