Are there any Jewish daycare, preschools and schools in Virginia? We are moving to the area at the end of January. |
Temple Rodef Shalom has a preschool program. |
Agudas Achim in Alexandria, VA has one. |
Also - there is a Jewish Day school for older kids in Northern Virginia. I can't remember the name, but you can find it by searching on the web. There is only one Jewish Day school in Northern Virginia. |
of course there are Jewish schools in VA. Most if not all of the syn. have one. As well as Gesher for k and up. What are you looking for? |
There is one in reston right off of baron cameron. |
My 20 month old just started at the JCC Beth El Hebrew Preschool. She loves it! The director is wonderful and they do so many jewish and non jewish activities. I don't know how old your child/children is/are, but they take children starting at 18 months. Depending on where you are moving, there is the main JCC in Fairfax and this one is in Alexandria. Good luck! |
Etz Hayim on Route 50 in Arlington has a preschool, as well.
If this is helpful: Agudas and Etz Hayim are Conservative; Beth El and Rodef are Reform. Others can tell you about the options outside the beltway. The JCC in Vienna has a great reputation (preschool, and summer camp). Rodef's summer camp also has a great reputation. We thought seriously about Gesher - we were totally impressed with the school and its ideology. |
Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation also as a great preschool. |
Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation also has a great preschool. |
Gesher Jewish Day School is on Shirley Gate Rd. in FX. Also, the Jewish Community Center on 236 at Guinea Rd (I think) used to have an adorable preschool. |
Congregation Beth Emeth in Herndon has a wonderful preschool. |
Northern Virginia Hebrew Congrgation. Good school and very easy access for Vienna, Great falls, Western Mclean. Very reasonable tuition and great long term teachers. |
Gesher Jewish Dayschool in FX on Shirley Gate Rd. My daughter went to a summer camp there. The facility is beautiful. |
I need a program for my 2 year old that is full time - opens no later than 7 AM and is open until 6PM. Are there any programs like that in the Northern Virginia area? |
