Shady Grove- Annandale vs Fair Oaks Offices

We were just about to sign up for IVF at GIVF, but, due to MANY comments on this forum, we are going to go to Shady Grove for a consult. We are close to both the Fair Oaks and Annandale offices. Does anyone have feelings about one office over the other including the MD's at those two offices?

There are good docs in both offices, but I would place my vote for Dr. Greenhouse who works out of both of those offices. I am not a patient of Dr. Greenhouse's (I am a patient of the Rockville office), but have heard nothing but good things about him from friends who have gone to him/gotten pregnant and also from women on this board.

I've been working with Dr Saffan in Annandale. I like him a lot, primarily because he listens to me and does not talk to me like I'm an idiot. I feel like those qualities are difficult to find in a doctor. We all have different priorities when searching for a physician.

i haven't been to the fair oaks office, so can't comment on that.
have been going to annandale for the last 3 yrs. very well run--it's a quick in and out for b/w and u/s. but for one rude receptionist, the staff--doctors, nurses, phlebotomists--all are good.

I've only been to SGF Annandale. Of those doctors I would definitely pick Dr. Greenhouse. I really like his down to earth bedside manner and felt like he actually looked at my chart each morning and remembered me. I had not so great experiences with Dr. Saffan - he could rarely find my ovaries and/or follicles when he did the ultrasound and I'd have to drive over to Rockville where they could immediately find everything!

Dr. Greenhouse is wonderful! I also like Dr. Browne alot too!

I didn't like the Annandale office bc the receptionist was rude, but compared to Rockville they were ok.

I really like Dr. Browne at the Fair Oaks office.

Also, Fair Oaks seems like a smaller/quieter office to me while Annandale seems busier/more patients.

Dr. Greenhouse is great! We got pregnant with our first IVF with him (after several failed NCIVF cycles at Dominion), and have several friends who have Greenhouse babies as well.

I would not recommend SG Fair Oaks – went through 2 failed IUIs & 2 failed starts with IVF . Based on my experience the nurses were unorganized, unprofessional, unwilling to take responsibility for their mistakes. I did have some limited experience with Annandale and Rockville office staff and they were excellent in comparison…still, we moved on.
