For those on WW what is your daily menu look like? What do you eat for breakfast/lunch/dinner? Can I have an example for two days please? I try to cook healthy for my family and have veggies with each meal, small starch, but it's never enough for my MIL who is currently in WW.
My MIL has lost about 30lbs on WW. She constantly is looking for approval, by saying "my butt looks big, huh?" even though it's obvious she lost the weight. She always asks me how I cooked/prepared food, even though she knows I've been cooking with low, fat free ingredients for years now. However, she is coming to visit and I need something that's very WW friendly so I can tell her not to worry that I'll make her gain weight. And no, I don't want to ask her what she'd want to eat. TIA! (I also posted this question in the Fitness forum - i'm really looking for some help )

My guess is that your MIL is counting points, and therefore needs to figure out how many points she will use at each meal. Please don't take it as an offense that she is asking. I quizzed my mother when I was on ww because although she cooked low cal and low fat, fiber counts in the WW point system. It's just easier to know what's in the food and calculate the points.
As for what a typical menu looks like, that's hard to tell you. It'll depend on how many points your MIL gets for a day and how many of the extra points she has used during the week and if she has earned or planned to earn any point for exercise. If you still to plain low fat proteins, relatively low starch/carb, and lots of veggies without extras, she should be able to make it work. Serce sauces and dressings on the side. I think it is really nice you are trying to accomodate her. Don't take offense if she seems to shy away from something. It may just be a place she doesn't want to spend her points, not a judgment on your meal. You can look at the WW website for plenty of recipes. |

p.s. some staples for me way back when:
egg beaters, lots of veggies, olive or canola oil, low cal/high fiber bread diet jam low lunch meat progressive weight watchers soups lean cuisines salad materials 100 cal microwave popcorn as a snack (orville reddenbacher) fruit dinner, just make sure your starch is whole grain, like brown rice or whole wheat pasta |

p.s. sorry for the typos.
She'll not have any more than 18 points to work with in a day. If you limit your recipe selections to those with under 7-8 points, you'd be really helpful to her. |
Why would she not have more than 18 pts to work with in a day? Unless she is 5'0 and 100 lbs and still trying to lose weight, it will at least be 20-25 pts a day. |

OP - She probably has 20 - 22 points in a day. FYI: White rice has the same number of points as brown rice. (4 for one cup.)
Why don't you want to ask her what she wants to eat? I do that will all my guests. It sounds like more than WW irritates you here! |
