Camp Airy/Louise - Politics?

I sent my kids to Camp Airy and Louise for several years. I was checking the camp website and was dismayed to see a group photo where several boys are wearing MAGA hats. It’s one of the photos in the photo slides here (the one in front of the Kona ices truck): https://www.airylouise.org/camp-louise-for-girls/activities/special-events-celebrations/
I suppose that the kids can wear whatever they like, but it bothers me that the photo is displayed prominently on the website. Does anyone else send their kids to Airy or Louise? What do you think? |

| I think this was a dress up social, but I agree it should not be on the site and misconstrued. I suggest contacting the camp and expressing your concern. We are a Louise family, and I consider it more liberal (including us). I never noticed this photo before, but I hope you say something and they take it down! |

| A lot of the kids come from Pikesville (Baltimore) or MoCo. Vast majority of the Jews in both areas are liberal, but there is definitely a small pocket of Trumpers in the Pikesville area. I’m surprised to see that pic and I find the hats offensive, but I do not think this is an example of most of the families at all. |

DP. Two of them are very clearly readable, and they are MAGA hats. I would not send my kids to a camp that endorses those kinds of “values,” which is exactly what they’re doing by putting that photo on their site. |

We go to Louise - it’s super liberal for the most part in that there are quite a few non binary kids and everyone seems good with it, although I also would t describe camp as particularly political in any sense. My guess is these were boys thinking they were being ironic or humorous but it’s possible there are a few pro Trump kids.
