Junction Bakery has jumped the shark

$7.50 for a ham and cheese croissant. The plain butter croissant is $4.90. What are they thinking?

And before you say it’s because they’re paying their staff a living wage, why am I also prompted to tip a minimum of 20% for takeout pastries?

Rent, liability insurance, electricity, etc. It is all going up.

Want to talk jumping the shark? The cost of juice at breakfast for a conference hotel is INSANE

You don't have to do a 20% tip. I do a 0% tip.

I mean they were honestly never that amazing and they sell the same stuff that all the other overpriced cafes and coffee shops do. I predict that a bunch of these smaller places will close because of inflation and with gas going up and never coming down it's likely that people are going to way scale back on dining out.

And no need to tip on pastries. Come on, really?

Firehook Bakery has better ham and cheese croissants for less.

Walk down a few blocks to Stomping Ground and drop $10 on a ham biscuit.

My southern mother would roll over in her grave if she knew people were spending ten bucks on 2 ounces of ham and a scoop of flour.
