Central summer school

When will we typically hear about summer school, we registered back in April or may and haven’t heard anything.

We registered in late March, and I received a confirmation of submission email right away:

Thank you for completing the registration for the 2021-2022 Central Summer Programs. The submitted information for STUDENT has been successfully received. No other action is required. More information about your student’s program will be sent in the coming weeks.


Then in the first week of May, I received the following email:

Dear Parent/Guardian:
This email confirms that the summer course selections below for STUDENT NAME have been approved or rejected by [the] school counselor.

Approved Course(s):
XXXXXXX

Hmm. I registered the day it opened, and haven’t gotten anything beyond the initial confirmation.

I haven’t received anything, and in the online registration system it’s still listed as “submitted,” so it doesn’t look like I’ve missed an email or anything. This is for the Health class.

My daughter took it last summer and I seem to remember getting the email with the class link a few days before the class was to begin.

Same here, but maybe the Health class doesn't require the same kind of approval.

My kid isn’t taking summer school this year, but last year they did and they had a course tile in Canvas. If you think you are registered, see if that has shown up yet.

Nope, nothing there, either. No email, still listed as “submitted” in ParentVue.

Just hoping this class she planned her entire summer (and next year’s schedule) around doesn’t fall through at the last minute.

All students who have been approved for course(s) in session 1 will receive an email from their teacher with Zoom meeting and course information by June 24

But that just tells you when they will receive first communication from teacher, not if they’ve already been approved for a course. Also doesn’t provide any details about supplies, books, if chromebooks will be needed and where to pick them up from.
