| So my five year old lost his first tooth today. It's one of the bottom/middle ones (I forget the name). But there appear to be TWO teeth coming in as replacements?! Is this normal in any way? Will call his dentist Monday (closed now) but it seems awfully odd for that part of the mouth. |

Oh that is weird, please update us once you hear from the dentist!
My guess is that it's the tooth for the one you lost (bottom front tooth?) and the one next to it coming at the same time. It's probably a shark tooth that will move over once the tooth for that spot falls out. |
| Are they growing one in front of the other or one beside the other? |
One in front, one behind. So weird, right?! |

This might help explain it, not sure if it’s what you’re talking about but I’ve definitely seen this in several kids before.

Bizarre. I’ll be interested in hearing what your dentist thinks. I think it’s probably more common than you realize. |
| My granddaughter has an extra tooth like that, she's four. It's cute in a snaggletooth kind of way. Her mom says dentist says leave it alone it'll fall out eventually. |
| ^^Also her extra tooth is on the top in front of the regular tooth. |
