Gluten free bao

Anonymous
I’ve found a few recipes online but wondering if anyone has made them? So often photos for gluten-free recipes are styled so well that we can’t see they are a gloopy mess!

I’m finding recipes that combine corn flour, potato starch, and glutinous rice flour (with yeast and other ingredients).

I’m wondering if these are going to be more sticky or if they can get pillowy and soft like bao. I’ve been gluten sensitive for so long but I remember having them in the past when I could eat wheat I just really want to try my hand at making some pork buns. Don’t want to waste time and ingredients on something that won’t work.

I've never made GF buns, but have you tried Bob's Red Mill GF 1-to-1 flour? We use that in our house for pizza dough, cake, and other things, and it works very well.
