| Does anyone know? My child is not sure (10th grade) and seems to be getting a couple of different messages from teachers. Does anyone who is a teacher know the date teachers have to turn in grades? |
| The date teachers turn in grades is really no concern of parents. Your child should be working to the deadline provided by the teacher (or better yet, turn worksheets in on time like they are supposed to.) |
|
Probably officially the 17th, but most teachers will want everything by the 15th to be able to enter grades in a timely manner.
It’s the end of the year. Almost everything should be in at this point! |
Not OP but some teachers take a long time to put grades in. Why so hostile? |
NP. The previous poster is probably assuming that the original poster is asking this question because the kid is trying to turn stuff in later. They’re probably right. The teacher set a deadline for the assignment. that is when the child to turn the assignment in. |
| I like to know because it indicates when the assignments will end. My high schooler still has two exams next week. |
| High school teacher here. I'm giving my students this weekend to turn in anything missing. All assignments will disappear from Canvas Monday morning. If a student has an extenuating circumstance, they know to contact me and we'll work something out. |
Same here. OP - each teacher is different based on what they set as the deadline for assignments. |
Please show a little kindness --you don't know what other people are dealing with. There are circumstances where the child might need to turn things in late due to excused absences late in the school year. Our DC caught COVID at the end of May and missed a week of school. They are back in school this week but still have lingering fatigue, so it's been hard to catch up. If they can't complete everything this weekend, our child might be one of those who needs the extra time after the end of the school year. Meanwhile, we are hoping that the lingering fatigue isn't long Covid. The child could take an Incomplete, but then, the work could be burdening them for the bulk of the summer since many teachers do not work in the summer and could not accept work then. |
Wow, you are a real piece of work. I don't think it matters why the OP is asking the question, but even if it did, OP clearly states that their DC is getting conflicting information from different teachers. If you can not post something useful, at least don't post something that shows how judgmental you are. - DP |
