Anyone installed a kit to allow carplay in an older car?

Has anyone done something similar? I'd really like to have google maps on the screen and not just thew phone. Wondering if it works.

Have it in my 2013 Wrangler. Works fine….better then my original. I have a Sony model

I bought one for my 2006 Camry. I really just wanted a back-up camera for safety, but am really happy I also have CarPlay. Purchase and installation done at Best Buy. No problems.

Get a tape player adapter or a wifi one lol

I installed one in my 2009 Honda Fit. Purchased from Crutchfield and they provided excellent advice and installation support.

Added one and a backup camera to my 2011 Toyota Prius. Got it from Best Buy and they did the install. I was happy with it, although speech recognition was adequate, but not great.
