Just started at a new company and the structure is basically $10 for IC, $20 for managers, $30 for SM, $40 for director, and $50 for SD or above. Slightly tweaked on $ amount but this is roughly the ‘suggested contribution’. Company is indeed following all solicitation guidelines and these are in no way requirements.
26 pay periods a year so $260-$1300. Is this in line with your company? |
| My company doesn’t suggest any PAC amounts, so $0. |
| For mine: $250 AVP, $500 VP, $2,000 SVP, $10,000 EVP (bank)...plus at SVP and above 1 or 2 max contributions to candidates of PAC choice. |
Limits are $5k so your company might want to follow the law. |
Why comment? This was 0% helpful lol |
Sorry you don’t find it helpful The question was, is it in line with other companies? And the response is, no it’s not in line with my company. You want different responses, learn to ask appropriate questions.

| I have worked for multiple F500 companies and never experienced anything like this. |
| You’re expected to donate to a PAC? That’s kinda messed up, no? |

Never seen this before.. Why would you want to donate $1300 to thieves? |
+1 No suggested amounts at my company and I (nicely) tell the people running around reminding people to F off. I’m anti-PAC. |
Yes, it’s disgusting. |
| It seems like that should be illegal. |
Requiring it is not allowed. My former company the CEO emailed everyone he was compiling a list of those who did not contribute and would deal with them directly. A short time later that day, HR sent an email saying that would not happen and people are free to contribute or not. |
