I was going to serve brown lentils tonight, cooked with carrot and celery and onion with some lemon-mustard vinaigrette on it. This got voted out by everyone else in my family. How can I make lentils edible? Thanks! |

We always do lentils with kielbasa but the recipe isn’t so different than what you shared minus the vinaigrette. Carrot celery onion and maybe tomato paste. The herbs
can vary I like thyme. Lentil burger? |
| Put them back in the cabinet and save them for winter. It’s too hot for food like that. Order sandwiches or something. |

Cold lentil salads can be very good. Ottolenghi has some good recipes.
I think the flavor profile of your original suggestion does bring cooler weather to mind. This one is good too: https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/make-ahead-lentil-salad |
| I toss them in my salads. |

I've mentioned this on other threads but I do lentil taco filling. So yummy. But maybe that's for colder weather too.
I think your lentil dish sounds great, OP. |

Make Dal.

They make good pie weights. Or filler for a bean bag chair.

| Curry, soy garlic lentils over rice (reminds me of Bon Chon), or add bulk to soups. |
