ACPS declining enrollment or just chatter?

What are the enrollment numbers of ACPS schools pre-pandemic and currently? Has your DC's school, particularly at the elementary level, lost a lot of families to the pandemic?

You can look up the numbers in the school board archives page and finding the meetings with the membership presentations. Here are a couple examples:

George Mason: 442 (9/19) -> 386 (9/20) -> 328 (9/21) [down 114]
Lyles-Crouch: 484 (9/19) -> 441 (9/20) -> 391 (9/21) [down 93]

You can find everything (proficiency numbers, enrollment, amount spent per pupil and more) here:https://schoolquality.virginia.gov/

Public school enrollment has declined considerably across the board since the pandemic. We are one family of many I know that left ACPS. Not sure yet if we’ll eventually return, at least not for the time being. Way too much chaos in the system at this moment.
