| One of those stupid flossers broke between two of my DH’s molars and we can’t get it out. I tried gripping it with tweezers and pliers but it’s too waxy. He tried flossing it out to no avail. Any suggestions short of calling the dentist tomorrow? |
| Did he try swishing water around? Honestly, I'd tell him to let his body try to work it out overnight. See where things are in the morning. |
| I would try swishing vigorously with mouthwash for a few minutes, like 4 or 5. |
| Try doubling up on the thread/flosser. |
| Toothpick |
| Get regular floss and help him get it out that way? |
| Or chew some gum. Use the chewed gum to stick to the floss? |
| Try Glide floss. |
| Use one of those dental brushes. Tiny Christmas tree shaped brushes that go between teeth. |
| And please stop using those flossers. I get mulch from the local dump and it is literally full of those things. How hard is it to wrap floss around your fingers that you have to use a piece of plastic once? |
Have you thought about not being a dick when sharing your views? Maybe you would get people to listen to you if you were nice about it. |
For kids it is a lot easier. My kids love the kids flossers - it was the only way I could get them to floss. |
+1 My kids don't have the dexterity to floss with the conventional dental floss so flossers it is. |
| Try a water pik. |
It’s too hard for me. One of my learning disabilities is fine motor skills and I can’t use regular floss string. |
