Jiffy Lube Concert arena

Hello -we have an upcoming concert and I offered to drive. I have never driven far into Va and am not familiar with this venue. How do you pick up there? Is there a waiting area? Any advice? I am wondering if I can go in and out or better to just bring a book and wait there?

Drop Offs
Drop off areas are located on Cellar Door Drive and Arto Street. Please let the parking staff know that you are dropping someone off and they will direct you. Guests cannot remain in their vehicles during the event- they must drop off and return 90 minutes prior to the end of the show. If you are not back within 90 minutes of the end of the event- you will not be allowed to enter until the majority of cars have exited the parking lot. Local law enforcement will shut down all incoming traffic and only allow traffic out of the venue.

Sounds like you'd almost be better off parking in the regular lot. Download a movie to watch while you wait. The traffic in and out of there is always bad.

Traffic out can take an hour. We would never drop off a kid at a concert. Get a ticket.

Op didn’t say ages but you wouldn’t drop your teen off at a concert?

NP and no, because I wouldn’t want to wait hours in traffic for the drop off and pick up. I like the idea of getting your own ticket and not being anywhere near them and then meeting up when it’s over. Or sit in the car.

Nope, we went regularly with our kids pre Covid and saw way to many concerning things. We’d average 6-10 concerts per summer.

Thank you again for the advice and thought I would give an update. The venue was very organized with cars and had security everywhere. It is true you cannot wait in car close so better to have dinner and come back. I noticed it looks like some people park at a lot about 1 mile away and walk-have to be young. I wonder if some people do hang out there and then just drive up at the end. There is also organized Uber area.

Oh wow-it was the Morgan Wallen concert? That must have been a scene! I live very local and I'm actually surprised people would park far away and walk--there's no sidewalk or even much of a dirt shoulder--no way would I want to be walking in the dark!
