| We're looking to take my older teen to a steakhouse in DC for his birthday, but these fancy steakhouses are super expensive. Is there something more moderate that's not Outback? |
| Medium Rare |
Great suggestion, but I should have mentioned that we have been there many times and are looking for something different this time. |
| Le Diplomate has a good steak frites. |
| St. Anselm |
| Annie’s Paramount? |
| Mon Ami Gabi? Not a steakhouse but they have a lot of different steak options on their menu. |

I really appreciate all of these recommendations. I think we're leaning toward St. Anselm right now, since we've already been to Le Diplomate and I like the vibe of St. Anselm from what I can see in the pictures. I also like the idea of going into DC, which would make dinner a little extra special, so that would rule out Mon Ami Gabi for us this time.

Isn’t that a hamburger? |
How much are you wanting to spend? My husband and I recently went to St. Anselm and spent 250$ without much effort. We only got one steak (only entree), a couple of appetizers, and some sides. We also each had 2 glasses of wine. But still, St. Anselm is not inexpensive. |
No. But their burger is awesome. |
Lol! No, PP. |
That is definitely more than we want to spend. I'll have to take another look at the menu. Thanks, PP. |
| Check out Bar Charley in Dupont... it's not only a steakhouse but the steak is good and it's a nice atmosphere. I think it's cheaper than St Anselm. |
| If you’re feeding a teenage boy, I’d go to Fogo de Chao. |
