APS superintendent sent out an email last week saying the SEL individual screener results would be in parentvue, but I don't see them. Has anyone else gotten results? |
Yes, look under documents |
Yes for my 4th grader at Claremont. But I really struggle with how I am supposed to use them. It scores then on a scale of 2-5. My kid got a 4 on happiness. Which means it is a strength but not a high strength. Is this okay? Is there a level at which I should be concerned?
Like I guess I would have preferred the results to say something like "if Your kid scores this level here are some helpful questions or conversations you can have or get them in therapy" |
I looked at the parent guide but it didn’t have a lot detailed information. Does anyone have insight into what the social awareness category means? |
I got results for my middle schooler but not my elementary school student. Because they don’t seem useful, I’m not bothering to track down the results for my younger kid. |
OP here, it's not under documents (or anywhere else). ASFS. Perhaps just delayed. |
I didn’t know this was happening. DC’s counselor got in touch with me last month and said that teachers are reporting my child seeming more depressed. I’d hope that if there was a low score they would let you know rather than just hiding it in parent vue. (And I don’t see it in parent vue either, fwiw) |
What grade is your kid? I looked around for my kid's results until I realized it was only 3rd grade and up. Mine is in 2nd. |
PP. 3rd grade, so it should be there. |
Ours were in there, but i couldn't understand the results at all. Even after looking at the explanations. |
My highschooler is pretty irritated that the results were posted since they were told it would all be anonymous. |
I’m not sure how you didn’t know it was happening. There are multiple emails from the superintendent that went out to every parent. This was not from individual schools or PTA‘s, it was in the weekly superintendence emails. Then there was a specific email sent out directly about it. |
Thank you for that contribution. 🙄 |
Omg! I agree with her. Thats awful. |
HS parent here. What is this? I has no idea this was happening until this post. I see the results on Parentvue, but what does it mean? Are five stars all good or bad? |
