Ehhh gift cards suck. I am a teacher and a parent. At the beginning of every year, I ask if it is ok that I get the teachers cash app to assist with low supplies and gifts throughout the year. I never had a teacher say no. I send a cash app for teacher appreciation week, their birthday if I happen to know it, xmas, end of the year, or for things like when she or he says we are running low on a school item, can we donate.

Cash or Visa, I hate being forced into going one place to spend money

Really inappropriate. Gift cards don't suck and they can use them for supplies or just send the supplies they need.

How is it inappropriate? How is it any different than a gift card or cash?

I love Amazon gift cards! I order so many things for my classroom and students from Amazon. You can get almost anything from Amazon.

I am a teacher and love gift cards. Doesn't matter where they are from. But the best gift is a note/email of why your child had a good year in my class and even better if you cc my principal on it. It's nice to be recognized. And I love a good photo of your child to hang on my classroom board and any art work/cards they draw for me.

Anything!!! Even if it is something obscure - I will use it and very much appreciate it! If I had to be picky, I would love something that could be used online. But I will absolutely use something “old fashioned” too. I am someone who whole heartedly loves every gift I get. Maybe I’m selfish that way!
