| I'd like to get a small quantity of holy water for personal use. I'm not a member of s church and so don't think I can get some for free. I see it on Amazon but wonder which ones are authentic and which I should get. Thank you for your help. |
| Steal it from the holy water font at the church! Kidding. I assume you are Catholic. Call a church and ask. |
|
I would go to the Basilica. They won’t expect you to be a parishioner because it’s not a pariah. Then gift shop sells containers to fill with Holy Water.
Plus it is nice to see the Basilica. |
| Agree with the Basilica suggestion |
| Walmart Aisle 5 |
| I can make some for you. I am a reverend |
|
Thank you for the suggestions. The Basilica sounds good.

Seriously? You can buy holy water there?? (The basilica IS nice, and worth a visit, even if pp is pulling your leg) |
| My Catholic church has a "water cooler" style contraption in the vestibule. Just put a bottle under and fill up. |
| You can’t buy Holy Water. You can make a donation if you like. At the Basilica you can buy a container in the gift shop or bring your own. |
No, they don't sell it. It's free. But they sell little bottles in which to put it. But if OP feels awkward going to a parish church, a place that is full of tourists and is set up for people to take the Holy Water home might feel more comfortable. |
Can you bring your own bottle? |
See two posts above. You can bring your own bottle. |
| Our parish has a holy water font in the vestibule. Don’t most parishes? (?) |
This is actually how we always got it. It wasn't stealing...there was a large silver container of it at the front of the church. You could dip in the bowl at the front of the church for a very small container or use the spigot for a larger container. Now really large containers were questions b/c you know, voodoo. |
