What school?! |
What exactly do you want the outcome to be? Two days of out of school, so the child can follow through on the threats? |
Nokesville |
Not coke back to school |
That is a bit extreme. Children make threats quite a bit in school. There would be no one at school…. |
The elementary school? |
What kind of threat? |
DP. It’s K-8. |
boy had pictures of him showing his guns on Snapchat and IG account saying he was going to shot everyone at school. |
Call the police. File a restraining order. Call the local news stations. Contact the Superintendent and School Board members and principal. Let them know blood is on their hands if the child is not removed from school and placed in appropriate mental health treatment. There has to be something in the handbook related to threats.
APS didn't truly take seriously a child who had made threats and then brought a taser to a local middle school until parents raised a huge fuss. Luckily the child was removed from school, and we hope is getting the mental health supports needed. This is how Sandy Hook, Parkland, Uvalde, etc happen. Kids give warning signs for years while adults give them a pass. |
