DC School will have 'increased security' n response to social media threat

MY DD school in PWCS has increased security in response to social media threat, Are they doing enough to stop them? My 8th grader said there was a security walking around the hallway, but that was about it. Is the school system doing enough to stop them?

Are they too busy dressing coding girls ? If they know a student did the threat why aren't they suspended them from school?

Hi. My uncle worked as a school security guard in Virginia and I can tell you he was given a private room so he could stay in school at night. It's a normal practice to keep security. As for your question, my uncle didn't really have much training to protect anyone, but he did have basic fighting skills. There were never any instances at school where he could use them, though. It's just always quieter when someone stays at school at night. If I were them, I would also install ajax security system and maybe add a couple of surveillance cameras to the existing number. Then security is guaranteed for sure.
