stolen temp tag

Temp tag was stolen off new car (Maryland.) Police report made, but no one seems to be able to tell us next steps. We tried to go online to the MVA but can't since they are temp tags vs plates.

I would call your local MVA branch. I had a tricky situation recently with registering a used car I bought from a friend and they helped me figure out how to proceed.

Go to the dealer who issued the tag. They should be able to print a new tag. Prepare for headaches as the vehicle using your tags racks up violations.

Dealer couldn't print new tags. I tried them first.
