I know used cars are supposedly in high demand right now. Does that mean dealers are also offering more for trade-ins? Any suggestions on strategy for getting the best price?
Paying full MSRP for something new would be more palatable if I knew we'd also get more money on our old car. |

No, Carmax has been blowing the dealerships out of the water. Go there first, then you at least have an offer in hand for when you go to the dealerships.
(I learned the hard way a few weeks ago). |

| PP again. I should say, yes, they are offering more than in the past. But carmax will give you more. |

| Get offers from CarMax, Carvana, Vroom, and Driveway. When you’re at the dealer try to at least have them match the best offer from those places. If the dealer won’t match or beat, then just sell it to the place with the best offer. |
