Fish oil side effects

Did anyone's child experience side effects from fish oil? If so, what were they?

none... but sweat smelled like fish oil over the summer

no side affects but son seems much more present.

When my DH took it he reeked. It just wasn't his breath that smelled bad, a rank odor seemed to come from his very pores.

Some children, my son included, are very hyper for the first week or two of being on fish oil (NN EPA and EFAs). And coming off them is just as bad. But once their bodies regulate, it is fine. My son had some issues falling asleep but not much, though other children I know had their sleep interrupted so much that their moms took them off the supplements. Please note that my son and some of the otehr children I know take VERY high doses of these oils, so if you're just taking a standard "recommended" dose like one listed on the bottle, likely you won't see these effects.
