VPL or Visible Panty Lines
Before you leave the house, look at the back and check to see if you have VPL. VPL do not discriminate: this is an equal opportunity problem regardless of your weight. It doesn't flatter anyone and no matter how cute your outfit looks, the VPL will ruin. |
| I should have added it also doesn't matter your age: young or old, it's not flattering. |
| How old are you, OP? |
Why does it matter? Do you like panty lines? |
| I hate thongs and I don’t care if I have VPL. Sorry if you find my VPL offensive. |
Because it’s typically older women (baby boomers and older gen-X) who feel the need to tell other women how to dress, like the way other women look is their responsibility or something. I’m curious if this holds true for you. |

VPL is less offensive than capris.

THis |
| I have VPL in my capris while also having uncolored natural gray hair. |
Same. |
| I think for a lot of women it's VPL or cellulite? Pick your poison. |
Same. I thought people stopped caring about VPL a few years ago when thongs fell out of fashion? You get to just be comfortable in your underwear now, it's not 2002. You can wear regular underwear, wire-free bras, midrise pants, etc. You also do not have to wax or laser of you don't want to. You can just be a person and you don't have to emulate a Britney Spears video or Carrie Bradshaw in a "naked dress" or whatever. Unless you want to, in which case you do you! I'll be over here with my VPL, feeling fine. |
I have VPL and cellulite, and I don't care! I'm also a size 0 or 2 -- it's not a size thing. I am a woman with a body, it's weird how offensive that is to some people. |
| Just go commando - truly. |
| Here is another person who would be well served by minding their own business and worrying about themselves. |
