| I just ordered peaches from the Peach Truck. Looking to buy some mangoes online, preferably Alphonso but flexible if they are delicious. Does anyone have recommendations? TIA. |
| Alphonso is great, as are Banganapalli, kesar and rasalu. I haven’t ordered online though. |
| Buy them from an Indian grocery store |
|
Amazon.com under Whole Foods->Ataulfo. Mmm...so good.

What mango varieties are sold in Indian stores? I usually go to asian stores and they have several varieties. |
| Atualfo mangoes are available everywhere, including Costco. |
|
Don't buy any Indian/Asian mangoes right now. They will become sweet only once the rains come. What you are getting right now is artificially ripened mangoes and it is not worth it.
Alphonso and Kesar are available in Indian stores right now. I am only eating the Mexican mangoes right now but even for them the season is just starting and they are mostly unripe and sour. |
Right, I just want to get really good mangoes online. I don’t want to go to the store in person. |
| I’ve tried a website; mangozz. No idea what the quality is as I haven’t got them yet. But a friend in Germany got them and said they were amazing. None of the Indian stores near us ever carry them. |

A few years ago I was at a Vietnamese store and they sold tiny mangos. They were similar to Ataulfo in color and taste, and the seeds were flat, so easier to cut for eating. Really delicious!
Going by this thread, the mango season is about to start, so I may be able to buy those again. |
How is the peach truck? |
Overpriced. |
+1 where are you located, OP? I don't know why, but the tiny Indian store in Rockville has the *best* mangos. |
Forgot to add.. they get theirs from MX. |
| My local Hispanic market always has yummy ones |
