Basic Espresso Machine

Anonymous
I am looking to get a basic espresso machine to make myself a cappuccino once in a while. I am not looking to spend a lot of money, I am not a huge coffee person, I prefer dunkin donuts coffee over starbucks, but I do like cappuccino and would like to be able to make it at home. Bed Bath and Beyond has a couple for around 60$, is this going to meet my needs or be a waste of money? Thanks!

We've had a couple of the basic models made by Krups. If you don't use it very often, it should last several years. We make a ton of espresso/capuccino/lattes in our house and we found they eventually broke down after so much use. We upgraded to a big, expensive machine and it's been great. But for occasional use, something under $100.00 should be fine.

We bought the Saeco Aroma from Costco a few years back and are still very happy with it! You can use grounds or ESE Espresso pods.

I have one from Mr. Coffee. Have had that basic model for 15 years and it is great. Around $30-$40 at Target or KMart or some such.
