| Any good waterfront establishments? |
| Waterfront one is Madigan’s. Nice atmosphere but lousy food. The other GOOD restaurants are Secret Garden and Wine Stop, but WS is more about wine and whiskey. Their food is very good. The BEST there is Bistro L’Hermitage. It’s less than a mile out of town, but you won’t be disappointed. |
| I like Cock and Bowl. As PP said, Madigan’s has the best waterfront views, but food is not very good and way overpriced. |
| I once enjoyed a really great papa John’s pizza parked in my car under the Occoquan bridge. 10/10 recommend. |
Ive heard this exact same thing re: C&B and Madigan’s. Bistro L’Hermitage is amazing for a nice romantic or friend date night too. But check menu prices online. |

| Bistro L’Hermitage is spendy but fantastic. In another life, my husband worked in NY with a very generous expense account, and got himself thoroughly spoiled for dining out. This is the only restaurant he’s taken me to down here that he’s raved about. |

The Secret Garden is the best but there's no waterfront view. They do have a lovely outdoor patio area. Same with Cock & Bowl - no waterfront view but the food is amazing.
Every waterfront restaurant I've eaten at there has been trash. Just absolute garbage frozen Sysco food. Madigan's is the worst, IMO. It's fine to have some drinks and enjoy the view but even the apps are terrible. Also, keep in mind that with all the rain we've had, the river will be up and flowing faster. Usually when that's the case, there's a smell coming off the water that doesn't make dining by it very pleasant. |
