What's the summer perfect wardroom for a WFH mom with a young kid?

After two years of Covid I think I've finally settled into a consistent schedule and lifestyle, and now I feel like I need to figure out how to dress for it. I'm WFH full-time now, and have virtually no need for work clothes (but a closet full of them, sigh). I work at home and occasionally at a nearby coffee shop just to mix things up, but can stay casual -- no on-site work and I rarely have to be on camera (and can be dressed down when I am). Since I'm the WFH spouse, I am doing most of the drop off and pick up of our preschooler, and that often spills into playground time in the evening, or running errands with kid in tow. Plus lots of active kid-focused stuff on the weekend. We live in DC, it's hot and humid. I work out a lot but don't like wearing workout gear when I'm not actually working out -- athleisure is not for me.

If you live like this, how do you dress and where do you shop? I just bought a couple simple maxi tank dresses in solid colors from Nordstrom Rack that I think will be good -- something I can wear on it's own around the house and be comfy, throw on sandals for school pick up and not be a sweaty mess, but could also dress up with a belt and jewelry if I was going out and wanted to look cute.

Otherwise, my summer clothes are mostly just shorts and t-shirts. I also have some lightweight overalls I wear when I'm in mom mode sometimes. But I'd like to have more things that help me feel professional/confident for my workday but still take advantage of the freedom of working from home and are more comfortable (and accommodate the transition to family time after work).

What are other WFH moms (or WFH women who aren't moms but value comfortable and unfussy clothes) wearing this summer?

I loved and still love the brand XCVI. Easy comfortable and stylish.
