| Moving to the Montgomery county area this summer and looking for a good basketball program for my 14 year old son. Any recommendations ? |
Plenty teams but most aren’t adding kids this time of year. You have to send emails and try to coordinate yourself if you want him to play this summer |
They will if the kid is really good. |

I would look at the force one league results to get the names of some teams. Then you can check out their social media.
One thing that makes this hard - teams make crazy, unsubstantiated claims about their elite status. I was just looking at a local team that claimed to be a UAA (Adidas sponsored) on their web site when in fact they are not. So buyer beware. |
| Look for summer leagues |
| One note - if you reach out to coaches, many will let your kid do a workout to see if they might be a fit. That’s how my kid found the AAU team that worked out best for him. |
| I 2nd checking out the force 1 results for teams. It can be hard to find contact information for some of these teams. Start following local bball twitter accounts. |
+1. There is always space for the right person. OP, is your kid going into HS? Some (most?) of the moco highschools will offer some sort of summer basketball workouts. |
