Any experience with subbing a year of language (Spanish 3) with Summer course at Montgomery College?

My sophomore is trying to work out some scheduling challenges over the next two years of high school. One thing we are looking at is whether instead of taking Spanish 3 next year, he could take its equivalent at Montgomery College next summer and then continue on with Spanish 4 his senior year. Any chance anyone has done this and has wisdom to share? Note that I recognize the challenges of going a year without language instruction and we have plans for that. I am trying to figure out whether a MC class can realistically fill in for Spanish 3. Thanks.

No but we are looking to do something similar. Trying to find an online language class instead of taking it at high school also because of scheduling issues.

No experience trying this, but the language curriculum in MCPS is not great. I think the year 3 is spelled out pretty clearly at least, and it might be better to hire a tutor to cover the material.
