Adventist White Oak Hospital

Does anyone have any experience with Adventist White Oak hospital in Silver Spring? Would you recommend or no? I need to choose a practice/hospital soon and I'm new to the area.

Things I'm specifically curious about:
- Can midwives deliver?
- Do they have nitrous oxide for pain management?
- What do current covid protocols look like?

On this forum, the most informative answers you'll likely receive about delivering in MoCo are for Shady Grove Adventist, Holy Cross, and maybe Holy Cross Germantown. Lots of women also deliver in DC at Washington Hospital Center (which may be the only hospital in the area with nitrous and has a popular midwife group per the discussions on this board), GW (which isn't taking new OB patients at the present moment), and Sibley.

Seems you’re right! It looks like a new location so that’s why I thought to ask. It’s certainly closer to DC than Shady Grove. I can’t find anything on Facebook either. WHC sounds great so I will probably do that; but White Oak is walkable for me so I wondered.

PP here again. Yes, White Oak opened as a relocation for the Adventist hospital that closed in Tacoma Park maybe 4? years ago. This board also rarely has any discussion about MedStar Montgomery, yet I believe both White Oak and MedStar Montgomery have labor and delivery. I also live close to White Oak; I also live relatively close to Holy Cross. I had my first at GW and will go back there - or to Shady Grove Adventist as an alternative - if we have a second. FWIW, I have friends who were walking distance to Holy Cross by the time their first was born; both of her kids were born at Sibley because that's where her preferred OB delivered.
